Twenty years ago, when the Cebu Coop Bank was organized, the organizers suffered a lot

 of birth pains. They had to tackle the necessity of canvassing for potentials members, the 

 necessity of doing the paper works needed not only by th CDA, but also by the BSP.

 Then there was the problem of raising the initial Capital of the Bank, as well as the personnel

 to run the Bank. Of course, there was no problem of borrowers because there were plenty of 

 them. However, the collection of the loans was also another problem.

 So, with these problems, the stockholders, the Directors and the Officers had to tackle in order

 to have the bank grow.

 Then, while the Bank started grow, the Bank has to suffer growing pains. There was the problem

 of collection of past due loans, additional Capital and problems with the employees.

 There was a need to pass policies to insure a sustainable growth. There were Rules and 

 Regulationsof the CDA and BSP, to be followed. The BSP takes care that the existence of the 

 Bank is sustainable so that its Rules and Regulations have to be followed to the latter.

 Now, 24 years thereafter, the Bank has to suffer Birth and Growing Pains which is part and 

 parcel of its existenc. For, we cannot exist without suffering Birth and Growing pains.
